you need for a memorable day out, whatever the weather!
Open 12th March for the new season!
ACTIVITIES
Have you seen what is NEW for 2008!
Moon Karts – Zoom your way around Lunar Park
by pedal power!
Bounce along to the Giant Jumper – Wales’ first amazing
giant jumping pillow for under 12’s. Tackle TreeTop Towers
– four towers linked by netting, rope bridges and tube slides
and look out for Tunnel Warren for the under 7’s. Find the
Crocodile in the middle of the Maze or enjoy the thrills of our
Green Dragon, the world’s first people-powered family rollercoaster.
Try the amazing 70m Great Green Run - the longest sledge slide in

shooting and build Dens in the Wildwood till the sun goes down.
(Well, till 5.30pm anyway!)
Your little ones will love Toddlers’ Village. Try log sawing
as well, and have your name engraved.
Stroke the bunnies and meet the peacocks.
Visit the Forest Theatre and enjoy the day's entertainment during
Easter, Whitsun and Summer school holidays.
Children can enjoy driving a mini-tractor and operating sand diggers.
(£1 in the slot)
Stagger on stilts and make them all laugh.
Woodland crafts and sculptures (craft activities in main season
most days).
And if you want to relax without heading indoors, there are two
Snack Bars serving delicious food.
THE VISITOR CENTRE
The "medieval" oak framed Visitor Centre is an attraction
in its own right. Forty tons of green oak was used for the frames,
all held together by 500 oak pegs. Inside the visitor centre you
can:
- Learn about ancient forests and modern conservation.
- Find Celtic tree calendars and buzzing bees.
- Discover the Welsh Rainforest and the dusty desert.
- Feel the softness of the Giant Redwood bark and smell the pungent
Eritrean frankincense.
- Learn about Welsh longbow men and why they were famous.
- Make music from wood.
- Try out a wooden pillow.
- Enjoy the selection of fine meals and tasty snacks in our Conservatory
Café.
- As well as having a brilliant family day out, you can also
learn about how we manage our woodlands and conserve resources.
